Baer Harbour Marina is located in Orillia on Lake Simcoe at the narrows between Lakes Simcoe and Lake Couchiching. The marina has remained a family owned and operated marina since its beginning in 1966. We offer 90 covered slips and 15 open slips for boats up to 30 feet long in a sheltered basin. The marina offers 7 acres of lush, park like grounds totally surrounded by cedar hedges. Offering a quiet, peaceful and private setting for relaxation and enjoyment. The marina is within walking distance of a corner store and several restaurants including a Tim Horton right on our corner.
Baer Harbour marina offers strictly covered and open slips. Servicing is left up to the boat owner. We are next door to a full service marina with a boater store, gas and pump out. As well there are several other full service marinas within a three mile radius. Our washrooms are clean, large, individual units set strategically around the property for your convenience. We have annual spider spraying and aquatic weed control. The aquatic weeds are harvested each year in July allowing boats trouble free access to and from their slips. The owners reside on the property.
Advantages to renting a covered slip:
1) Full protection from the sun, rain and snow all year round.
2) No shrink wrapping required. Shrink wrapping can and will allow for mold and mildew to form while in storage.
3) Allows you to do your own bottom washing at your own convenience.
4) Allows you to do work on boat spring or fall after it has been rasied and blocked for the winter.
5) On very extreme hot days and rainy days you are still able to enjoy the use of your boat while being out of the elements.
6) Boats kept in covered slips year round retain best value for resale.
7) All this adds up to dollar $$$ saving.
